Project Overview
Delval Equipment was selected to provide high-capacity water heating equipment for a Marriott-branded hotel in central Pennsylvania. To meet the hotel’s demand for reliable hot water without the need for bulky storage tanks, Delval supplied Intellihot tankless water heaters with a total capacity of 1,250,000 BTU/hr.
The project required careful coordination to integrate the advanced tankless system seamlessly into the hotel’s hot water infrastructure.
Challenges
Timeline Coordination: The installation had to align with the hotel’s operational schedule to avoid disruptions to guests.
Technical Requirements: Proper venting and gas line sizing were critical to support the high BTU capacity of the units. Ensuring compliance with local codes required collaboration and precise planning.
Our Solution
Delval worked closely with the installing contractor to:
-
Coordinate scheduling around hotel operations.
-
Engineer proper venting and gas line sizing for safe, code-compliant installation.
-
Support the contractor with technical expertise throughout the process.
During commissioning, Delval technicians performed startup and combustion analysis, fine-tuning the equipment for maximum efficiency and performance.
Results
The hotel’s new hot water system:
-
Eliminates storage requirements with tankless technology.
-
Operates more efficiently, lowering energy costs.
-
Provides reliable, on-demand hot water to meet guest needs.
Thanks to the collaboration between Delval, the contractor, and hotel staff, the project was completed successfully with minimal disruption and long-term performance benefits.
