Industry: Pharmaceutical
Company: VA Hospital in Altoona, PA
Equipment: Delval Equipment was tasked with upgrading (5) Cleaver-Brooks boiler controls with older technology to the Hawk 4000 with a master control panel to a major pharmaceutical company in Maryland.
We removed the basic jackshaft and mod-motor design, then added a variable speed drive, parallel positioning, uninterruptable power supply, and air-conditioned panel.
All of this was done while removing all the unnecessary clutter off the front head and locating all controls and cabinets to the side of the boiler for added esthetics and accessibility.
Our customer is going to benefit from energy and fuel savings, as well as having new cost-effective equipment that will minimize downtime and unexpected maintenance for years to come.
Included in the master panel is Cleaver-Brooks Prometha technology, which provides:
• Remote access to boiler insights
• Increase operational efficiency
• Lower total cost of ownership
• Prevent or reduce downtime
